That was the situation for winner of the 2018 Richard Stoute Teen Talent Competition Jalissa Edwards, who won the Over-21 Competition last Sunday night singing the same two songs she sung in 2018 to take the prize once again with โWhen We Were Youngโ and โDonโt You Rememberโ by Adele.ย Edwards tallied 845 points that earned her $3,000 and a trophy. She showcased outstanding voice control throughout. Chief judge Sheldon Hope said even though it was entertaining to see contestants opt to sing their better song in the second half, it was clear that the winner set the pace very high from her first choice and initial appearance.ย Fifth placed Shane Headley Collecting 807 points for second place was no surprise as Kibibi Greenidge did a great job with Donna Summerโs โThe Woman In Meโ and โPiano In The Darkโ by Brenda Russell. Her efforts garnered her $2,000 and a trophy.ย Just 13 points behind was the sweet-sounding Andreen McLean who won $1,500 and a trophy with her songs โFunny Valentineโ made popular by Frank Sinatra and โLetโs Stay Togetherโ originally done by Tina Turner Taking fourth place was Zoe Armstrong with โImmortalโ and โPoor Unfortunate Soulโ and completing the top five was lone male Shane Headley doing โDisabled People are People Tooโ and โLook How Things Changeโ.
