It will be complacent of me not to draw attention to the deplorable road condition at Vaughans Road, St Joseph.
There is a lack of service by the Sanitation Service Authority with respect to garbage collection and the non-supply of thrash receptacles as was distributed throughout other districts on the island.
The lone and potholed pathway is overgrown by shrubbery and is accessible one way only by vehicular traffic for the last 250m into the district.
There are no sidewalks for pedestrians and no street lighting whatsoever.
The matter was drawn to the authorities some time ago by a resident and to this date, nothing has been done to rectify the poor and deplorable road infrastructure.
Residents were informed that work will commence early this year after new water mains were laid last year, but to date, no sod has been turned to start reconstruction.
The residents deserve better as contributors to the General Service Contribution Levy and other forms of national taxes that they are subjected to.
