Candidates seeking posts as braiders should place Braiding Technician – Canada, in the subject area of the email, while those keen on becoming barbers, should put Barber – Canada, in the subject area. Braiders should possess a wide knowledge of different hair tools; products; wigs and weaves and have a wide pallet of braiding, locs, twists and styling techniques. They will also be expected to braid and style hair as per client’s request; keep tools and work areas clean and sanitised; advise clients on proper hair, scalp care and styling options, and maintain product knowledge in the promotion and sale of studio products and services. Braiders must also perform client consultations, adhere to appointments in a timely manner, and be willing to attend training and information sessions. A minimum of five years of braiding/styling experience, along with a cosmetology licence and a relevant certification, is required.
