This was the common message from at least two senior ministers in the Christian faith on Good Friday, as the island joined the world in observing the day that commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. At Budlong Baptist Church in Brereton Village, St Philip, Senior Pastor Reverend Emerson Archer said that this was also a time to embrace the spirit of community and create a support system for those in need. We also have to be our brother’s keeper in these kinds of times. Many years ago, we used to look out for each other. If you had a fruit, we would share and live happily,” he said. She said that despite life’s challenges, God is a pillar of strength. He says he is our Saviour and once we believe and have faith, we will see [his works], and we will have testimonies of his faith working in our lives,” she said.
