Parents and guardians are turning up at the McClean Gap, Brittons Hill, St Michael School to collect their children. Teachers could be seen outside the classrooms huddled in groups. Barbados TODAYย understands that representatives of the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) and Ministry of Education officials are currently at the location. On Tuesday, classes were interrupted when rodents were sighted in the school hall. Chairman of the BUTโs Health and Safety Committee Julian Pierre insisted that the school should be closed to facilitate industrial cleaning. However, the Ministry of Education did not deem the school unfit for teaching.
