As such, patients, staff and visitors are being told to expect noise disruptions between Wednesday and Friday as contractors continue with phase three of the expansion. “We do apologise for the inconvenience and do kindly ask staff, patients and visitors to the department to be patient as the scheduled construction work is completed over the aforementioned three-day period,” the QEH said in a statement issued on Tuesday. “We thank you in advance for your understanding as we move ahead over the next few months with the final phase of the AED expansion programme,” the hospital added. Work resumed on this phase during the past few weeks as part of an overall programme to enhance service delivery in that emergency facility.
