Tony Layne of Piper’s Avenue, Bayland, was identified by a friend after he was pulled from sea. According to police, around 5:35 a.m., some people who were swimming at the Bay Street, St Michael beach noticed something floating in the water and on further investigation, they discovered that it was a body. One of them took the body out of the water and laid it on the sand. A medical doctor pronounced Layne dead at the scene. Photo by Haroon Greenidge.
