The Barbados Alliance to End Homelessness (BAEH) has activated its facility as a hurricane shelter for people experiencing homelessness.
BAEH President Kemar Saffrey said on Saturday that this arrangement will remain in place until the complete passing of Hurricane Tammy.
“[This] means all homeless individuals can seek shelter and receive the necessary assistance needed. Homeless persons are being asked to seek shelter indoors, as reports from the Met Office suggest that as much as 100 lighting strikes are possible every hour,” Saffrey advised.
