He was among the founders of the People’s Pressure Group formed by Eric Sealy. Williams was also a member of the Democratic Labour Party and later the Barbados Labour Party. He represented the constituency of St Michael Northwest in Parliament from 1999-2003. Williams, was also the producer of the popular Looking Back programme on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation.
