Marine users should monitor the situation closely, along with the forecast for any further deterioration to the visibility,” the Barbados Meteorological Services said in a significant dust haze advisory issued this afternoon. A dust-haze advisory is issued when dust haze has already or is forecasted to reduce visibility to between 5 and 10km within 36 hours. Met officials say satellite observations and model data indicate that there will be some improvement from tomorrow afternoon; however, some slight to moderate haze will still be present across the country and the marine area for the remainder of the week.
