Official funeral with military honours for Grantley Watson

Former Commissioner of Police and Executive Director of the Regional Security System (RSS), Grantley Sylvester Watson will be accorded an official funeral with military honours on Friday, March 8, at the St Thomas Parish Church, starting at 1 p.m. 

The day before, from 2 to 6 p.m., there will be a ‘Vigil Day’ in the Prince Cave Hall, Police Band Headquarters, District ‘A’ Complex in Station Hill, St Michael, where the public will get the opportunity to view Watson’s body and sign a condolence book.

Condolence books will also be available for signing at the St Thomas Parish Church on the day of the funeral. A virtual condolence book may also be accessed at https://condolences.gov.bb/grantley-watson.

Watson died on February 3 at the age of 80. He served as the island’s Police Commissioner from 1995 to 2003 and was the RSS’ executive director from October 2003 to January 2017. (BGIS)
