Revive CCC. For the Love of God

February 24 in the year 2024, I woke from a dream which, perhaps on reflection, relates to the possibility of reviving the Caribbean Conference of Churches (CCC) which is now in the doldrums. The organisation was inaugurated in November 1973 in Jamaica with great promise and some fanfare. You may well ask what happened to it. I believe that with the passing of the initial leaders, the vision and fire were both extinguished.

In the dream, I was still working at the CCC and three young ladies came looking for work. They said that their skill was dressing difficult ladies. I presume they meant they would assist in dressing ladies who were resistant to dressing for some reason or the other. I asked Pauline to speak with them.

On waking, the thought came to me that perhaps they were speaking of the possibility of resuscitating the CCC but with a “new dress” as it were; and yes, bringing the churches together again would be very difficult.

That new dress might be using the words of Jesus when he said: ‘Love one another as I love you.’ An understanding of those words might lead one to ask what kind of love he was speaking about. Clearly, it was not the love between family members, young lovers, husband and wife and so on. It is my understanding that Jesus was speaking about the love in his soul – the soul being the real person, that love being God’s Love Energy. Indeed, it was that Love of God The Father which, through prayer, had entered and thus transformed his soul.

Yes, he was teaching about love – a love from God which was once again available to man. A love which is now referred to as Divine Love. Jesus’ teaching was that all mankind can receive this Love by sincerely praying for it.

If now the former churches of the CCC ask each member of their congregations to pray for this transforming love, might we see a beautiful way to unity and to the possibility of reviving the CCC?

The answer is yes, so let us pray about it.
