Excitement is buzzing in Saint Lucia as the island prepares to host Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Burna Boy on May 3. Billed as Burna Boy Live in Concert, the highly-anticipated event comes off at The Vigie Playing Field (The SAB), Castries, Saint Lucia.

Event organiser and managing director of Rhythm FM Inc., Dwayne Mendes, told Barbados TODAY that attendees are in for a memorable experience. He pointed out that Burna Boy is one of the most iconic and universally adored artists of our time, and his performance promises to be unforgettable.

He proudly touted the event as much more than music.

“We’re crafting an immersive atmosphere complete with a stunning ambience, an array of delectable food options, and premium bars offering bottle service and exclusive signature cocktails. Get ready for an evening that will pleasure all your senses and create memories to last a lifetime,” he shared excitedly.

The concert will be a huge promotional opportunity to boost homegrown Saint Lucian talent with performances from a melange of Saint Lucia’s biggest artists and up-and-coming acts. One major highlight is 75Greatest, including the electrifying Umpa, Shemmy J, Dhirv 2 Funny, and Cooyah. To add to the impressive lineup, DJs from Blazin 99.3 FM and from across the Caribbean will be taking the stage.

Mendes is extending an invitation not only to Saint Lucians but also to people from Barbados and other Caribbean islands to experience the island’s beauty and vibrancy.

Barbadians have an exciting opportunity to win a trip to see Burna Boy Live in Concert, thanks to a blossoming partnership involving Utopia Cruise & Festivals, Blazin 99.3 FM, Rhythm 99.3 FM, Oaktreez Inc., interCaribbean Airways and Barbados TODAY. To enter the Taste the Rhythms with Burna Boy promotion, participants must purchase food, beverages and other products from participating sponsors and send proof of purchase via WhatsApp to the number provided. The campaign officially kicked off on Friday, March 15 on Barbados TODAY’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

“This alliance not only amplifies the event but also fosters regional integration and opens doors for future joint ventures,” said Mendes. “We’re beyond excited for this partnership and the myriad of opportunities it heralds for cross-promotion and cultural exchange.”

As time counts down, event organisers are pulling out all the stops with the concert preparations, kicking things up a notch with their promotional strategy, and introducing innovative and exciting concepts where patrons will be treated to sponsored giveaways and interactive opportunities.

“Our ambition for the Burna Boy concert in Saint Lucia is twofold: to achieve a sold-out event and to ensure every attendee leaves with an extraordinary experience etched in their hearts. We’re setting the stage for a night of incredible music, vibrant energy, and unforgettable memories, making this concert a must-attend event of the year,” Mendes asserted.
