Local NewsPublic Notice Temporary road closures for Caribe Wave by Barbados Today 20/03/2024 written by Barbados Today 20/03/2024 1 min read A+A- Reset Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 1.1K Members of the public are advised that there will be a partial closure of the road along Crick Hill, St James on Thursday, March 21, from 10:50 a.m. This is to accommodate students and staff of the St. Albans Primary School in their evacuation drill from the Weston, St. James institution to Upper Crick Hill, as part of the Caribe Wave 2024 exercise. Officers from The Barbados Police Service will control traffic flow as exercise participants from the Holetown Public Centre cross Highway 1 to the other side of the road. Lawmen will also assist persons travelling along Sunset Boulevard, Hibiscus Road and Lascelles Road to get to their assembly point. In addition, there will be a partial closure along Lascelles Road. Police Officers will be positioned at the emergency assembly point to ensure participants are out of the tsunami hazard zone.
