(AP) FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 1.7K Barbados’ star quartermiler Sada Williams clocked a season’s best time in the women’s 400 metres at Thursday’s World Athletics Diamond League series in Norway. Running out of Lane 3 at the Bislett Stadion in the Norwegian capital of Oslo, the 26-year-old Williams, who copped bronze at last year’s World Championships, finished fifth in a time of 50.71 seconds after fading from third position in the final 80 metres. The race was won by World Champion Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic, also in a season’s best time of 49.30 seconds. Natalia Kaczmarek of Poland grabbed silver in 49.80 seconds, while the USA’s Alexis Holmes was third in 50.40 seconds and Lieke Klaver of the Netherlands fourth (50.62 seconds).
