The Barbados Fire Service responded to the incident after receiving an alert at approximately 5 p.m. Station Officer Damian Bayne reported that two water tenders and eight officers from the St John and Arch Hall fire stations were dispatched to the rural parish upon receiving the call. “On arrival, we found a house engulfed in flames, and we were able to quickly bring the fire under control,” he said. While no injuries were reported, the fire resulted in the complete loss of the home’s contents.
