Man shot and killed along Silver Sands Road

Barbados recorded the 20th homicide for the year after a man died in a shooting in Christ Church Saturday evening, police say.

The shooting happened around  5:47 p.m. along Silver Sands Road at its junction with McClean’s Gap.

Police say the victim and other persons were liming at the junction when a vehicle drove up and multiple gunshots were heard causing the men to scamper.

When the shooting stopped one man was found lifeless on the ground and another was injured and taken in a private vehicle for medical assistance. 

Investigations are ongoing.
