A 31-year-old St Michael man was sentenced to nine months in prison on a wounding charge.

Magistrate Alison Burke delivered the ruling on Kyle Egan Blackman, of Block 5H, Neptune Road, Deacons Farm on Thursday after he pleaded guilty to unlawfully and maliciously inflicting serious bodily harm on Kwesi Patrick.

The offence occurred on June 28 in the car park of S Master Bar Lounge at Brighton, St Michael.

Patrick sustained a laceration to the back of his head, swelling to his right eye, a slight fracture to his nasal bone and abrasions to both knees, prosecutor Ralph Rollock told the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.
