The man, Samuel Cornelius Collis of Gunsite Road Britton’s Hill, St Michael, appeared in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court charged with causing serious bodily harm to Andrew Williams with the intent to maim, disfigure or disable him on July 14. Boyce’s objections were on the grounds that Williams was still hospitalised with serious injuries and there were concerns that Collis might flee. The prosecutor also highlighted the strength of the evidence and argued that Collis was not a suitable candidate for bail at this time. Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes remanded Collis until August 12.
