Barbados U19 Cricket team returned home on Wednesday evening as newly crowned champions of the West Indies Rising Stars U19 Regional 2-day and 50 over Competitions.

Parents, family, supporters, along with key members of the Barbados Cricket Association were on hand at the Grantley Adams International Airport to welcome home the boys from St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Completing the double crown for the first time in history for the U19 tournament, the Nathan Sealy led team went through the tournament unbeaten in both formats.
Jatario Prescod was named the MVP of the two-day competition as he was consistent with both bat and ball for the Bajan boys, he led the team in runs scored.
Wicket Keeper Batsman Joshua Morris claimed the MVP trophy for the 50 over tournament, his consistency with the bat and gloves were a key part of the success for the Barbados team, he ended with the most dismissals (9) in the competition and the most runs for the team at 101 runs in 5 games.
Joshua Dorne got an award for most catches as he took 8 in each of the formats.
Off spinner Saurav Worrell was the leading wicket taker in the 50 over while Sealy, with his left arm spin, led the team in the 2-day version.
Barbados U17 will be up next as they are looking to repeat as champions when they tour Trinidad within the next few weeks. (ZM)
