Station Officer of the Bridgetown Fire Station, Roger Bourne told “Barbados TODAY”ย they received a call at 11:52 a.m. about a fire on the third floor of the NISSS building at Culloden Road, St Michael. On investigation, we realised that was the server room and smoke was coming from the ceiling. Apparently, they were doing some replacement of the air conditioning unit in that area,” he said. Bourne added that further investigations were carried out to ascertain the nature of the problem and a short time thereafter, the all clear was given and staff were allowed to return to work.
