Carter, of Clapham Park, St Michael, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes and was not required to plead to the charge of having sexual intercourse with a female without her consent or was reckless as to whether she consented between July 17, 2023, and September 8, 2023. The cultural ambassador was represented by attorney Leslie Cargill-Straker in association with King’s Counsel Andrew Pilgrim. He returns to court on July 14.
