Flow, Barbados’ leading telecoms provider, has delivered a significant boost to the country-wide, community initiative: We Gatherin’ 2025.

The sponsorship deal with the Division of Culture in the Prime Minister’s Office, which is valued at $120,000, will now see Flow being referred to as “The Official Telecommunications Partner” of the year-long series of events.

The partnership was officially sealed with a contract signing at Flow’s Warrens Office on Wednesday, March 5, marking the beginning of a meaningful collaboration.

This landmark partnership underscores Flow’s commitment to connecting people and strengthening communities. With a focus on fostering national pride and encouraging Barbadians across the diaspora to return home, We Gatherin’ 2025 aligns perfectly with Flow’s mission of bringing people together.

Vice President, Flow Barbados, Desron Bynoe expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the shared values between Flow and We Gatherin’.

“We believe in the power of connectivity, not just through technology but by bringing people together. We Gatherin’ 2025 is a celebration of unity, heritage, and community — values that we hold dear. We are honoured to be part of this initiative and look forward to making a lasting impact as we help reconnect Barbadians with their roots,” he said.

As part of its sponsorship, Flow will be supporting eight of the 12 events scheduled throughout the year, spanning across multiple parishes. These include January (St  Lucy), February (St Peter), March (St Thomas), May (St John), June (St  George), October (Christ Church), November (St Michael), and December (the grand finale). Each of these events offer a dynamic showcase of Barbadian culture, from music and art to culinary experiences and community-driven activities.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office with responsibility for Culture, Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight, lauded Flow for recognising the value of the initiative and making a substantial contribution.

“We Gatherin’ 2025 is about strengthening our national identity and building a stronger Barbados for future generations. Flow’s generous sponsorship demonstrates their commitment to our people, our culture, and our future. We are grateful for their support and excited to have them on board as we embark on this year-long journey,” the minister said.

We Gatherin’ 2025 aims to unite Barbadians from all over the world, regardless of geographical location. The programme seeks to reinforce national pride, promote cultural preservation, and boost local economies.

Flow’s involvement in this historic initiative reinforces its role as a company that not only connects people through technology but also through shared experiences and cultural heritage.
