EntertainmentLocal News Rihanna’s “We Found Love” hits another milestone by Barbados Today 19/04/2025 written by Barbados Today 19/04/2025 1 min read A+A- Reset Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 1.4K Rihanna just picked up another major accolade, and this latest one adds to an already massive list of historically huge smashes. One of her most familiar hits, “We Found Love,” a collaboration with Calvin Harris, reaches a new peak when it comes to certifications. The EDM-leaning smash has officially gone 11-times platinum in the United States, as it has now shifted another million equivalent units between sales and streaming since it first went diamond. With this latest update, the tune ties another one of Rihanna’s blockbusters. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), “We Found Love” is now an 11-times-platinum-certified single. The tune was originally certified diamond in the spring of 2023, becoming one of Rihanna’s grandest winners as it reached that benchmark. The only other composition from her discography to reach that same level is “Stay,” which has also climbed to the 11-times-platinum mark. That cut, which was originally released as a single featuring Mikky Ekko — though the RIAA does not credit him on the plaque — was updated in May 2024. Rihanna’s ability to turn songs into steady performers is unmatched by nearly any other artist — and especially so among female musicians. So far, six of her singles have earned a diamond certification from the RIAA, meaning they’ve all moved at least 10 million units in the U.S. You Might Be Interested In Crystal Beckles-Holder, 2nd runner up in regional competition Lights, camera, flash!
