Minor one of two charged with string of school burglaries

Two boys – one 16 and the other 15 –are expected to appear before the Holetown Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday in connection with a series of burglaries at nine schools in the north of the island.

 

Jalanie Junior Jaquez Skinner, 16, of Coles Cave, St Lucy and the minor are accused of committing 12 counts of burglary between July last year and earlier this month.

 

The charges include buglarising Selah Primary School on July 10, 2024, between November 15 and 16, 2024, and on March 18 and April 27 this year.

 

They also allegedly committed burglaries at St Lucy Primary School between November 15 and 16, 2024; at the Coleridge and Parry Secondary School between March 27 and 28; at All Saints Primary School and All Saints Nursery School between March 5 and 6; at the Daryl Jordan Secondary School between March 30 and April 1; at St James Primary School on May 11; and at the Roland Edwards Primary School and  Gordon Greenidge Primary School between May 11 and 12.
