The launch event, held on Saturday, June 7, drew a crowd of beauty enthusiasts eager to explore the brand’s local offerings, which include Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin and Fenty Eau de Parfum products. Emma Degazon-Adley, area retail manager for the store, said the addition provides an opportunity to enhance the local beauty supply shopping experience while keeping products accessible in terms of pricing. “As far as assortment, we have exactly what people will be looking for,” she told St Lucia Times. “We have exactly the same prices that you see in the other stores.” Fenty Beauty has made waves in the global beauty industry since its 2017 debut, widely praised for its groundbreaking approach to inclusivity. The brand’s extensive range of shades, tones and product formulations has reshaped expectations around diversity in makeup. Saturday’s launch in Saint Lucia featured live product testing, with several professional makeup artists on-site to offer shade matching and personalised recommendations. Some customers, many already familiar with the brand, came with specific requests, eager to try out cult-favourite items and explore new releases. Rihanna, who is originally from Barbados, expressed her excitement about expanding Fenty across the Caribbean. “I am so excited to FINALLY bring Fenty Beauty, Skin and Fragrance brands to the Caribbean. I know the community has been waiting a long time,” she said in a release. Ramsey echoed the sentiment, adding: “I think she’s going to all the Caribbean islands now because that’s where she originated from. She loves the Caribbean, and the Caribbean loves Rihanna.” With Saint Lucia’s Carnival season on the horizon, the launch comes at an ideal time for beauty lovers looking to refresh their makeup routines. “It’s the perfect time,” said Ramsey. “The products are bright, fun, and they’re inclusive, and Carnival is the perfect time to embrace that.” Barbados Today Stay informed and engaged with our digital news platform.
