‘Bounty’ remanded on murder and conspiracy charges

Nigel “Bounty “Pinder will reappear in court on October 8, after being remanded to Dodds Prison on multiple murder and conspiracy to murder charges.

The Cox Hill, Church Village, St Philip resident was taken before Acting Magistrate Angela Knight in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday afternoon, under a strong police detail.

Heavily armed officers were visible within the Oistins Magistrates’ Court complex, as a number of curious onlookers gathered to watch, while others shouted words of support as he was led into the court.

The 49-year-old shopkeeper is accused of conspiring with other persons to kill Junior Taitt between June 19 and June 27, 2023 murdering Junior Taitt between June 27, 2023 and December 5, 2024;

murdering Randy Brathwaite between June 27, 2023 and December 5, 2024; conspiring with other persons to kill Shane Parris between January 11 and January 13, 2024; and murdering Shane Parris on January 13, 2024.

Pinder, who was represented by Senior Counsel Angella Mitchell-Gittens, was not required to plead to the charges, which are all indictable.
