Reports are that Maycock was sitting among a group of men when a masked gunman approached and opened fire, hitting him multiple times.Emergency personnel were called to the scene, but Maycock showed no signs of life. He was later pronounced dead by a medical doctor who visited the area. The police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could help investigators to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 430-7189 or 430-7190, the Police Emergency number 211, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
