Officers will be deployed throughout the area to direct traffic.The event, hosted by the Barbados Association of Dragsters and Drifters (BADD), will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days and will require the complete closure of the ABC Highway between the Norman Niles (Haggatt Hall) Roundabout and the Clyde Walcott (The Turning) Roundabout. Road closures ABC Highway between Norman Niles and Clyde Walcott Belle Road (East) from Lower Estate to the ABC Highway Belle Road (West) from My Lords Hill to the ABC Highway Traffic diversionsFrom the direction of Bussa heading west:Drivers may turn left at the Norman Niles Roundabout, travel along My Lords Hill to Bridge Road, then to Station Hill and onward to the Clyde Walcott Roundabout. Alternatively, motorists may turn right at Norman Niles, continue to Salters, turn left to Charles Rowe Bridge, then left to Lower Estate Road.From the direction of Warrens heading south:Drivers may turn left at the Clyde Walcott Roundabout, continue to the junction of Lower Estate and Belle Road, then turn left and proceed to Charles Rowe Bridge before continuing to Salters and Norman Niles. Alternatively, motorists may turn right at Clyde Walcott, continue to the traffic lights at Station Hill, turn left onto Bridge Road and continue along My Lords Hill to Norman Niles. No parking zones ABC Highway Waterford Road The Turning Salters Belle Road Park and ride A park-and-ride service will operate from 8 a.m. at: Queen’s College Garfield Sobers Sports Complex The Botanical Gardens Sky Mall (Monday only) Emergency vehicles and services, including the Police, Barbados Defence Force and Fire Service, are exempt from the restrictions.
