BusinessLocal News Christmas cheer from the ANSA McAL Group of Companies by Barbados Today 06/12/2025 written by Barbados Today 06/12/2025 1 min read A+A- Reset Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 310 Every year during the Christmas season, employees of the ANSA McAL Group of Companies — Trident Insurance, ANSA Merchant Bank, Bryden Stokes Ltd., Berger Paints, ANSA Motors, and the Group Head Office — join hearts and hands to bring festive cheer to children affected by cancer. Together, staff members thoughtfully selected and beautifully wrapped 42 gifts for children diagnosed with cancer, their siblings, and children who have lost a parent to the disease. The companies generously donated funds to purchase gifts specially recommended by The Barbados Cancer Society, ensuring each child — aged three to 15 years — receives something meaningful and age-appropriate. This year, more than 40 families have felt the weight and worry of a cancer diagnosis, making moments of joy and compassion especially important. To celebrate the spirit of the season, a Christmas party will be held on December 8 at the Yacht Club, where Santa himself will present the gifts and share in the merriment with the children. Sharifa Yard, administrative director of The Barbados Cancer Society, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the initiative. She commended the ANSA McAL staff for their kindness, thoughtfulness, and sincere care for others. “It was a privilege to work with the team at ANSA McAL in the spirit of the Miracle of Christmas, sharing in the love and joy that fills this season,” she said. Through this act of generosity, the ANSA McAL Group continues to honour the true meaning of Christmas — spreading love, hope, and joy to those who need it most.
