Sagicor Bank named Barbados’ Best Consumer Digital Bank

Sagicor Bank (Barbados) continues to make major waves in the digital banking space as the island’s first digital bank has once again been named the Best Consumer Digital Bank in Barbados by Global Finance, a leading international print financial magazine. This year, the bank took home a grand total of 18 awards, up from last year’s 10, including Barbados’ Best Digital-Only Bank, Best Digital Payments Strategy, as well as Best in Lending.

The magazine, which is renowned for its thought leadership in the world of finance, has been helping corporate leaders, bankers, and investors chart the course of global business and finance since its inception in 1987. This is the 26th year the publication has awarded the “world’s best digital banks” across a variety of categories and regions.

The awards for the round one winners of the 2024 World’s Best Consumer Digital Bank Awards in Latin America were announced this past August, and will be eligible for further consideration in the subsequent round two. Round Two honorees will include the overall Regional and Global winners, and the Global Sub-category winners, and will be revealed at the first-ever Global Finance World’s Best Digital Banks Awards Ceremony on October 7 at London’s landmark 8 Northumberland Avenue.
