(GP) Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 24 A team of Sandals Foundation Ambassadors from Sandals Barbados recently brought the magic of the season to thousands of children following the careful delivery of over 3 000 toys to 10 schools and nurseries, as well as to community and non–governmental organizations across the island, creating unforgettable experiences for the young ones during the yuletide season. This year, the initiative was able to reach even more communities, with the annual school toy distribution taking place on December 9, while thousands of toys were also distributed to local groups during the month to assist with their Christmas parties and events. General Manager for Sandals Barbados Mr Bruno Couesnon said one of the most wonderful memories for our team members is seeing the joy and excitement on the children’s faces when they see Santa and receive their toys. “The Sandals Foundation Toy Distribution has become a much anticipated event not only for the schools and organisations but especially for our team members who look forward to participating. The ability to spread Christmas cheer to so many is truly a rewarding experience,” he added. For 13 years, the Sandals Foundation’s annual toy distribution has been a cherished tradition for communities across the Caribbean, creating memories and joy to last a lifetime. This holiday season, the Sandals Foundation proudly partnered with three leading forces in the US toy industry, Spin Master, Jazwares, and The Toy Foundation™, to deliver 45 000 toys to children across nine Caribbean islands, spreading joy and hope throughout the region. “The holidays are about hope, the kind that reminds every child that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved,” said Heidi Clarke, Executive Director of the Sandals Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful to our partners SpinMaster, Jazwares, and The Toy Foundation for spreading joy to 45 000 young lives across the Caribbean.” You Might Be Interested In Crystal Beckles-Holder, 2nd runner up in regional competition GUYANA: Body of child found after gold mine collapses Barbadians asked to help with return tickets for Haitians Benefiting schools and communities on the island include St Lawrence Primary, St Catherine’s Primary, Half Moon Fort Primary, Arthur Smith Primary, The Salvation Army, the ThenWhat!
