Kishon Lemar Anderson Thomas of Nicholls Road, Seaview, St James, is charged that, being in custody of the Barbados Prison Service, he escaped lawful custody from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital without the use of force, on May 2. While gesturing to the heavy police presence inside and outside of the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on Monday, he said: “Ma’am, the charge says ‘without force’. That means nobody ain’t get push or lick down. Nothing so. I would like to have phone calls,” he said. But Magistrate Alison Burke told him to speak with prison staff about his access to such calls before adjourning the escape case until January 26, 2026.
