Chad Roosevelt Elija Chase, of #137 6th Avenue, West Terrace, St James, appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke, where he admitted to charges of possession, trafficking and intent to supply both cannabis and cocaine. He was ordered to pay the fine within two months or face three months at the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). Chase was arrested and formally charged by the Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Narcotics Unit in connection with offences committed on January 23. Police said the suspected cannabis weighed approximately 21 grammes, with an estimated street value of $105, while the suspected cocaine weighed about 1.7 grammes and was valued at $85.
