Turvy Johnathan Frederick was not required to plead when he appeared in the District โAโ Magistratesโ Court No. 2 on Monday.ย He is accused of entering Bhamjeeโs Trading as a trespasser and stealing $19 000 in cash, a quantity of cheques of unknown value belonging to the business, and a mobile phone valued at $1 400 belonging to Ahmed Raja. He is also accused of using a firearm, by brandishing it while committing the indictable offence of aggravated burglary. The offences are alleged to have taken place on January 14. The case was transferred to the No. 1 District โAโ Magistratesโ Court, where Frederick will reappear on March 23. Defence counsel Justin Leacock represents the accused.
