CourtLocal News Charges discontinued after complainant withdraws by Jenique Belgrave 27/03/2026 written by Jenique Belgrave Updated by Hiltonia Mariate 27/03/2026 1 min read A+A- Reset FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 12 Two matters against a St Peter man were discontinued in the No. 5 Supreme Court after the complainant appeared and asked for them to be dismissed. ย Romario Orlandor Parris, of Gays, was accused of causing serious bodily harm to Antonio Rock with intent to do him serious bodily harm or to maim, disfigure or disable him on July 28, 2011. ย He was also charged with unlawfully and maliciously inflicting serious bodily harm on Rock. ย You Might Be Interested In Alleged burglar remanded Crime spree Francis to undergo assessment But when the case was called on Thursday, Rock told the court that he was no longer interested in proceeding with the case against Parris. ย Senior State Counsel Kevin Forde asked: โHave you been forced, threatened or blackmailed into reaching this decision?โ ย โNo, I have come to this decision of my own free will,โ Rock replied. ย Justice Pamela Beckles stated: โCounts one and two of the indictment are discontinued due to no evidence being offered.โ ย Parris, however, will return to court on April 9 regarding the remaining charges on the indictment, including two counts of endangering life and one count of use of a firearm, all on that July 2011 date.
