Peace and Love edge Vauxhall to remain unbeaten

Peace and Love are still unbeaten in the National Domino Association Four Hand League.

A solid team performance saw them earn a hard earned 73-68 victory over A&B Pest Control Vauxhall who led for the majority of the contest before stuttering at the finish line.

For the winners, Sherry Ann Dawson and Alicia Harewood finished with 17 points, while the consistent pair of Suzette Hinds and Charles ‘Jack’ Proverbs provided 15 points. Cheryl ‘Sweet P’ Worrell and Anthony Codagon chipped in with 15 points, while Rachel Burton and Jeremy ‘Angry Bird’ Jordan added 11 points.

Buzo Osteria Welchman Hall defeated the dangerous and unpredictable Hillside team 80-59. The husband and wife pair of Shurland and Vondel Bovell grabbed 15 points including winning the last set of the game to secure a much coveted bonus point.

Carlton & A1 Braves trounced the BNECL team 102-36, with Ian ‘Cappy’ Grimes and Jefferson ‘Smallhead’ Proverbs providing 25 points, inclusive of two six loves, while Delisle Parris and Henry Tank Forde added 17 to seal the win.

The matchup between Powerade Locked and Loaded and RM Cleaners was billed as the clash of the week and it certainly lived up to expectations with Locked and Loaded edging to a 68-66 victory.

In other results, French Village Piranhas dismissed 37 Family KC Joint 77-57  to leave them winless in the division so far.

In more domino news, the 37 Family KC Joint Out Of Season Three Hand tournament climaxed on Monday night at Zimmers Sports Bar.

When the dust had settled and the smoked cleared, Ivy Sports Bar De Clique 2.0 were the eventual winners and walked away with a bounty of

$7000, while second place and $4000 went to the Lucians, with Landsharks who finished third, securing $1500.

The R M Cleaners out of season tournament will commence on April 15 at venues across the island, while the VOB Carib Wave community domino tournament will continue on Friday night at the North Stars cricket ground.
