L&R United defeat Ivy Rovers in Division 2 clash

Goals flowed at grounds across the island as the Barbados Football Association’s Division Two competition continued.

L&R United defeated Ivy Rovers 3-2 in a top of the table Zone D clash to maintain their position at the summit. They advanced to 19 points, while Rovers remained on 16.

Eastern United remained third on 10 points following a 3-0 win over Kings Park Rangers, while Red Hill outgunned Central League Spartans 5-3 in a high-scoring affair.

In Zone A, Atlas missed the opportunity to extend their lead at the top after being held to a 2-2 draw by third placed Martindales Road. Atlas now have 15 points and Martindales Road 11, while Chickmount moved to 13 points in second position following a 2-1 win over bottom-of-the-table Maxwell.

Fourth placed Glebe and fifth placed Lodge Road played out a 2-2 draw, while United Stars Alliance who are sixth in the table blanked seventh-placed Hothersal 2-0.
