When the case was called, his attorney Sian Lange told Justice Laurie-Anne Smith-Bovell that her client was ill and a medical certificate was presented to the court. Acting Director of Public Prosecutions Senior Counsel Alliston Seale and State Counsel Paul Prescod are prosecuting the case, while a 12-member jury and three alternates hear the evidence. The trial is expected to resume on May 19.
