In a statement, DLP shadow health minister Felicia Dujon praised nurses here and across the diaspora for what she described as their unwavering commitment to patient care even under emotional and physical strain. โNurses continue to serve with dedication, compassion and professionalism despite increasing pressures and difficult working conditions,โ Dujon said. โTheir contribution to healthcare and national development cannot be overstated.โ Dujon described nurses as one of the most important pillars of the healthcare system, noting that they remain the frontline caregivers most closely connected to patients and families. โOur nurses represent the very best of Barbados. Even in moments of pressure, exhaustion and emotional strain, they continue to show extraordinary compassion, courage and humanity,โ she said. Dujon noted that while International Nurses Week officially concluded Tuesday with Nurses Day celebrations, the Barbados Nurses Associationโs activities are set to culminate Saturday with an awards ceremony.
