Barbadian entrepreneur and sustainability advocate Dr Legena Henry is among six Caribbean women set to be honoured at the 2026 Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Awards in the British Virgin Islands next month.

The awards, which form part of the Caribbean POSH Weekend 2026 celebrations, will mark the organisationโ€™s 10th anniversary under the theme 10 Years of Purpose and POSH.

Henry, founder and chief executive officer of Rum & Sargassum, is being recognised for what organisers described as her โ€œgroundbreaking work in sustainability and entrepreneurshipโ€, including efforts to transform environmental challenges into economic opportunities while advancing discussions on climate resilience and innovation in the Caribbean.

The other honourees are Anguilla Premier Cora Richardson-Hodge; Caribbean Tourism Organization Secretary-General and CEO Dona Regis-Prosper; U.S. Virgin Islands Commissioner of Tourism Jennifer Matarangas-King; media executive Hilma Roebuck; and British Virgin Islands tourism official Lynette Harrigan.

Caribbean POSH founder and CEO Janette Brin said the honourees represented women helping to shape the future of the region through leadership, resilience and innovation.

โ€œThis yearโ€™s honourees represent visionary leadership, resilience, innovation, and impact at a time when the region is navigating important conversations surrounding economic growth, sustainability, tourism, entrepreneurship, and regional collaboration,โ€ Brin said.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for June 26 as part of Caribbean POSH Weekend 2026, which runs from June 25 to 30 in the British Virgin Islands.
