Eric Astor Omar Gibson, of West Terrace, St James, has denied that between February 5 and 7, 2019, he was in possession of 37.9 kilogrammes of cannabis and that he committed acts preparatory to trafficking the controlled drug. On Friday, the accused gave an unsworn statement from the dock in the No. 5 Supreme Court and indicated that he would not be calling any witnesses. Closing addresses will be heard on Tuesday before Justice Pamela Beckles delivers her summation to the jury of eight women and one man on Friday.
