Approximately 15 pairs of shoes were handed over to the students, and according to Dr Browne, “Last year we were asked to assist with the sponsorship of bibs (for the netball team) so we gave them a good set of bibs as well as brand new balls. Many times schools may have opportunities, but they may not have the tools, so we wanted to make sure that we partner with Belmont Primary and other schools to make sure they have the tools,” he explained. Dr Browne said in total, over a hundred pairs of shoes are set to be donated. Belmont’s shoes will go towards the netball team, which has advanced to the playoff round of the National Sports Council, Pedialyte Sport, Primary School Netball Competition. Information Technology coordinator at Belmont Primary, Shodia Cobham, assists with the coaching of the team and has welcomed the donation. “It was a great gesture by Dr Browne and we truly appreciate it. We have approximately twelve girls on the netball team, comprising Class 3 and Class 4 students.” You Might Be Interested In Pybus returns Holder is number two Ferdinand on the mend “We were a little nervous coming into the netball competition, but after the first couple of games, they overcame their fear and they have been victorious throughout the entire competition thus far,” she revealed.
