International recording artiste Hypasounds is enjoying one of his busiest Crop Over seasons yet, touting strong support for his music, packed events and an international tour set to resume once the festival ends.

Speaking with Barbados TODAY at the Tipsy All White Party at the National Botanical Gardens, the entertainer said the response from fans has been encouraging.

โ€œThe season has been great,โ€ he said. โ€œThe fans are loving the music and, most of all, the music sounding good. Parties ram, and Crop Over is getting back to being the Crop Over that it used to be.โ€

Hypasounds released four songs for this yearโ€™s festival and said two of them have generated the strongest response from audiences.

โ€œItโ€™s a tie between Too Like and Mirror Mirror Baddest By Far; the ladies love that,โ€ he said.

The artiste is also gearing up for a series of performances before the Crop Over season comes to a close, including Soca on the Hill, Bacchanal Time and he is getting ready to support Mikey Mercerโ€™s concert.

โ€œJust come out and support the thing, support your favourite artiste and, of course, support Soca For Her, Hypasounds,โ€ he said.

While Crop Over has temporarily paused his overseas schedule, the international performer said touring will resume immediately after the festival, with stops in Toronto and St Kitts already confirmed.

โ€œThe touring is nice. We just break for this last leg of Crop Over and then we start back. Weโ€™ve got Toronto, then weโ€™ve got St Kitts. It goes on and on, just flying the flag for the fans and for my beautiful country, Barbados,โ€ he said.

Before returning to the road full-time, Hypasounds is also scheduled to travel to Saint Lucia on Tuesday for the Big Bad Soca event before jumping back into Crop Over activities.

Reflecting on the first leg of his international tour, the artiste said performances in New York, Boston, Atlanta and Grenada were among the highlights.

โ€œThe last two legs of the tour were great,โ€ he said. โ€œWe break for Crop Over and then we hit the road again, put some new music out, and head down to Trinidad to do some radio promotion because weโ€™re always working.โ€
