Competing in Heat 7 he clocked 10.24 seconds to finish third. Julian Forde finished fifth in his heat and failed to advance after clocking 10.58 seconds. Kishawna Niles has also advanced to the next round of the Women’s 100m, after clocking 11.52 seconds to finish second in Heat 8.In the pool, Victor Ashby finished seventh in Heat 3 of the men’s 200m butterfly after clocking 2:17.94, missing out on qualification. Adara Stoddard also failed to advance after placing fifth in Heat 2 of the women’s 50m breaststroke in 34.35 seconds.
