Top two teams record wins in BFA Division One

Leaders Pro Shottas and second placed Parish Land both kept up the pressure in the Barbados Football Association’s Division One title race with victories on Wednesday night.

Pro Shottas defeated Potential Ballers 2-1 to extend their lead at the top of the table to 49 points.  That result also saw Potential Ballers slip one spot down to ninth.

Parish Land remained firmly in contention after a  6-2 victory over 10th-placed Fitts Village. They now have 44 points and, crucially, a game in hand on Pro Shottas. 

Empire slipped one position down to fourth despite their 4-2 win over Whitehall, while Pinelands are now fifth in the table after defeating Barbados Soccer Academy 3-1. 

In the night’s other results, Deacons defeated Silver Sands 6-3, Technique blanked Greens 4-0, and Empire beat Whitehall 4-2.
