Ronaldo Antonio Saviola Simmons, of 2nd Avenue Paddock Road, St Michael, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick and pleaded not guilty to assaulting Natesha Jack, occasioning her actual bodily harm, on July 23. He also denied assaulting Jack on Tuesday. When the matter of bail arose in the No. 1 District โAโ Magistratesโ Court, prosecutor Reginald Blackman objected, citing fears that Simmons may be a danger to the complainant and the public, the possibility that he may reoffend, the strength of the evidence, the provision of a medical report, and concerns in the community about the accusedโs behaviour.
