Two teenagers accused of unlawful violence and assault have been granted bail after appearing in a Bridgetown court.

Dagion Delisle Ifill, 19, of Perfection Road, Bush Hall, and a 17-year-old were not required to plead to the charge that, being present together, they used or threatened unlawful violence and their conduct was such as would cause Aaron Welch-Gittens to fear for his personal safety on August 18.

No pleas were taken to the charge that they assaulted Welch-Gittens, causing him actual bodily harm on the same date.

There was no objection to their release, and Magistrate Manila Renee granted them bail of $5 000 each and adjourned the case until November 26.

The magistrate issued a stern warning for them to stay away from the complainant.

โ€œIf you see him on the road, head in the next direction. Have nothing to do with him or your bail may be revoked,โ€ she ordered as the teenagers left the dock of the No. 2 District โ€˜Aโ€™ Magistrates Court.

Ifill is represented by defence attorney Shadia Simpson, while counsel Rene Forde appeared for the 17-year-old accused.
