The 38-year-old unemployed man pleaded guilty to failing leave to the premises of Tamara Goddard after she directed him to do so. Sergeant Kenmore Phillips said that the complainant and the accused had been in a relationship for the past two years. On the date in question, they returned to her home around 3 a.m. after an outing, became involved in an altercation and the police were contacted. When officers arrived, the complainant asked that Crichlow leave the premises. Around 9 a.m., the accused returned to the property and attempted to gain entry. The police were contacted again. “I would not say that I was not wrong to go back there because I should not have, but I get a cut to my head and it was bleeding a lot and my eyes started to go dark so I went back there to rest,” Crichlow said, gesturing to his head, which was wrapped in several bandages. “When the police arrived the second time, I was literally lying down sleeping on the step and dem wake me up.” Acting Magistrate Shakieda Sealy said: “There was nowhere else you could have gone? Noting his 15 previous convictions, the last of which was in 2023, the magistrate said: “You have kept yourself out of trouble for the past three years, so I will place you on a bond for a year.” Magistrate Sealy warned him that if he breached the bond, he would be fined $1 000 forthwith or jailed for three months.
