Bangladesh will resume day three trailing by 268 runs on first innings and hoping for a substantial total to boost their efforts to avoid a 2-0 series defeat. Speaking after completing his second Test century, West Indies middle-order batsman Jangoo described the batting conditions on day two as challenging and said the Bangladesh bowlers made good use of the new ball. โYeah, I think weโre kind of disappointed โฆ our objective was to get over 400 runs. Having said that, Bangladesh bowled beautifully. I think we knew that the second new ball would have been a danger for us and, unfortunately, we couldnโt carry on today. But I think weโll still be pleased with over 350 runs.โ Jangoo described his approach to his 212-ball innings as patient. โIt was all about sticking to my strengths, just taking it one ball at a time. I think weโre trying to build a culture where even if you get out, get out [playing] to your strengths. All of us have our roles in the team so for me, it was all about sticking to my strength. โI think the wicket is flattening out, and I say credit to their bowlers. The fast bowlers bowled so brilliantly on that wicket, and you can see now it is pretty difficult once [batsmen] get in. Tomorrow may be a struggle for us, you know how cricket goes at the end of the day. โBut yeah, I think for us itโs all about building pressure on that wicket.ย You canโt really go there searching too much because guys will score quickly.โย (KH) Kurtis Hinds You may also like Traffic gridlock sparks emergency planning call 06/11/2026 Barbados ramps up cannabis research efforts 06/11/2026 Cannabis licensing costs barrier to small farmers, regulator acknowledges 06/11/2026
